We design and prototype smart devices based on a state of the art understanding of technology, developmental psychology, learning and play. smalti tiles can revolutionise the teaching of reading as well as provide a new platform for interactive play and gaming

Our unique smalti tiles have been under development since 2004 and are protected by the patent process in 12 regions around the world. The availability of modern technology has now made the launch of products at affordable prices possible and we hope you will be able to play and learn with smalti soon.

The concept started as a Futurelab project.

We are open to collaborative development of the products and its markets.

Simple - but rich - interaction

When you touch the surface of a smalti something will happen.

When you pick up and shake smalti block something will happen

Most significantly smalti blocks will interact with each other.

In the background smalti will be interacting wirelessly with other smalti

and other devices around it. It will be aware of where it is

and it will receive messages about its neighbours. This will

update and change the way it interacts with you.
